Navigating Change

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new”

Socrates

Change is inevitable…

And change is unavoidable, life is transitory by nature and it often seems that no sooner have we got a handle on the season of life that we are in, when things change again. Change can be slow and incremental, only needing small decisions and adjustments, or it can be suddenly forced upon us through unforeseen events, requiring huge, life-altering decisions and a course-correction to move into a new season. You may feel you want a change in your life but are not even sure where to start, or how to begin thinking about this. We can explore all of that and my goal is to help you design a life you love.

Whatever change you are dealing with, there is a process to navigating transitions well. Transitions involved endings, a messy bit in the middle, and then new beginnings.

I can help if you…

  • are considering a shift in direction or a course-correction in your career

  • are questioning whether your current role or organisation is still the right fit

  • are navigating significant change (promotion, redundancy, re-entry, or organisational shift)

  • want to rebalance your relationship with work and life

  • recognise patterns or behaviours that are no longer serving you

As a result of coaching you will…..

  • gain clarity on who you are and how you operate at your best

  • reconnect with your values and use them to guide decisions

  • understand what is holding you back, and move beyond it

  • make clearer, more confident decisions

  • build practical steps to move forward with momentum

  • navigate uncertainty with greater stability and perspective

  • define and take your next steps with confidence

How I help

There is a structure to navigating transition well.

It involves recognising what needs to end, moving through the uncertainty of what sits in between, and stepping into a new beginning with clarity and intention.

I provide a focused, confidential space for you to think clearly and work through this process. Through precise questioning, thoughtful challenge, and grounded insight, we get quickly to the heart of what matters, enabling you to move forward with clarity and confidence.

My approach balances support with challenge, helping you expand your thinking while ensuring outcomes remain practical and achievable.

The Coaching Process

This programme consists of six 1:1 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes.

Together, we will:

  • identify the change you are navigating or seeking

  • clarify what needs to end and how to do this well

  • work through the uncertainty of the transition phase, including the shifts in thinking required

  • define what the new beginning looks like for you

  • translate this into clear, practical steps forward

The process is structured, but tailored entirely to your context, enabling both deep reflection and decisive action.

Next Step

If you would like to explore whether this is the right fit, I offer an initial conversation.

This is an opportunity to discuss your situation, what you are navigating, and how we might work together.

What they say….

I believe Maddy to be one of the most naturally gifted coaches that I’ve encountered. She has an uncanny ability to identify core issues with great rapidity. And having done that, she is then able to communicate those issues back to a client in a manner that gives them the tools to go forward and grow.  She has helped me enormously where other very experienced professionals have come short.

Stephen May, Director, The Screen Arts Institute, London

It is an undeniable truth that having a space which is solely aimed at you, and your desire to progress is hugely beneficial to your capacity to process things. Maddy has provided an instantaneously secure place to openly discuss large, often personal topics with the appropriate level of challenge and prompt to ensure that there is targeted focus in the exercise. Undertaking specific tasks such as values and personality discovery has been a revelation. Maddy has an ability to make you feel that she is genuinely invested in you and your progression. No doubt because she in fact is! …. coaching has been a wonderful series of prompts where I feel challenged enough to arrive at a well-articulated statement or well-connected decision.

NFB, Customer Success Manager

Maddy is an incredible coach. She listens deeply and the way she reflects back what you are saying to help you see more of what is truly going on is so helpful. Her questions bring breakthrough and revelation leading to lasting change and transformation. I love being coached by Maddy because every time I am I know I will be different by the end and something positive will have changed in me and my perspectives! She really helps you get to the heart – not only of an issue, but of yourself.

RF, Accommodation and Facilities Manager, Bristol

Coaching has been a fantastic addition to my life and a huge, huge help to my mental health, which was in a pretty sorry state when I first started. Due to me coming to this at a difficult time and being coached through it, the change from session to session has been very rapid and it has been exciting to see and feel such quick moving progress. Maddy’s skillset means that she works out what is important to work on or discuss, she then asks considered questions which allow you to really hone in on what you’re feeling. It is so nice to just hear that someone hears you and takes the moment to pause with you, as opposed to life where people are so quick to fix or give their opinion. Those little moments where your soul feels truly heard are amazing.

Working with Maddy has been really powerful for me as Maddy is exceptional at listening and bringing out the sticking point to facilitate your thinking and make you ask you the right question to unlock any particular situation and tap in your full potential. I can only recommend Maddy to anyone that is facing some roadblocks or just some more challenging situations and is unsure how to approach those.

CG, Head of International Business Development, Monster Energy

Coaching helped me to establish and make good life decisions. More specifically, it helped me to define my career choice - helping me identify my strengths, develop them, and identify personal and professional goals.
DH, Executive Assistant, Slovakia

I have made some lasting changes and as a result of our sessions, I feel more equipped to create space for strategic work and to safeguard my time more effectively. Maddy created a safe space for me to explore some difficult issues. She is very empathetic and calm, a very good listener and asks good questions - challenging questions. She is not judgmental. Maddy strikes the right balance between challenging you to think, without being too pushy or challenging.
